I love this family so much! I have been photographing them since they were expecting kid #2. Here after having two girls they had a beautiful baby boy. Newborn sessions with older siblings take on a much different tone, one with a lot more energy and usually some shenanigans too! This session was no exception. Having two girls and then a boy myself, I understand the dynamic of the little guy having two big sisters, or as someone pointed out to me after my son was born, “Now he has three moms”. Needless to say, this session had no dull moments with the girls showering plenty of love on their new brother!

This sweet guy did not want to leave his parents’ arms the entire session, and that was totally OK. While we were hoping to get some shots of him by himself, he was just not having it. He was only happy being held, and really, that’s the way it should be. We took several breaks for nursing, rocking, and diaper changes. But he was such a snuggler that he needed that physical connection with his parents at all times. I can relate because my son was the same way! They say the first few months of a newborn’s life is really the 4th trimester. If a baby wants to be held the whole session, that is completely normal and healthy!
