August 2019 – I loved meeting this family at one of my favorite locations, Green Spring Gardens.  We had a surprisingly cool morning considering it was late summer and the humidity in this area can be brutal. Corinna had just turned one and she was an absolute doll.  She was smack in the middle of the finger walking phase, which is one of my favorites, especially for photographing!  I think the one-year milestone is cause for major celebration.  Not just because it’s the baby’s birthday, but because the parents have survived the first year!  As wonderful and life-changing as those first 12 months can be, they are also exhausting! Having family photos taken is the perfect way to celebrate and to honor that precious first year of life.

During this session we explored gazebos, ponds, bridges, trails, benches, flowers, and giant leaves.  The fun went on and on!  Toward the end of the session we witnessed Corinna standing up by herself for the first time.  It was such an exciting moment!  Then she proceeded to do it over and over again.  This sweet little girl was pretty tired at the end of the session, but we squeezed out a few more photos of her snuggling with her awesome family.  So much love!
